College Softball Evaluation Camp

THIS IS NOT NECESSARILY THE SCHEDULE THAT WILL BE USED AT THE CAMP.

Below is an example schedule for our College Softball Evaluation Camp. Please keep in mind that this is an example only. The schedule can and will change for many reasons.

7:15am – 7:45am:  Check in

7:50am – 8:00am:  Introductions

8:00am to 8:20am:  Run and Stretch

8:20am to 9:20am:  Running Times Home to first (twice)

9:30am – 10:30am:  Velo’s – Infield and Outfield

9:30am – 10:30am: Pitchers Velo’s

9:30am – 10:30am:  Catchers Poptimes

10:30am – 12:00am: Hitting Analysis

 

Schedule – Full Day

7:15am – 7:45am: Check in

7:50am – 8:00am: Introductions

8:00am to 8:30am: Run and Stretch

8:30am to 9:30am: Running Times Home to first (twice)

9:30am – 10:30am: Velo’s – Infield and Outfield

9:30am – 10:30am: Pitchers Velo’s

9:30am – 10:30am: Catchers Poptimes

10:30am – 12:00am: Hitting Analysis

12:00pm – 12:15pm:  Break

12:30pm – 1:40pm:  Game 1 – Team Red vs Team Blue

1:50pm – 3:00pm:  Game 2 – Team Grey vs Team Purple

3:10pm – 4:20pm:  Game 3 – Team blue vs Purple

4:30pm-5:40pm:  Game 4 – Team Grey vs Team Red

*** Players will be in the defensive skills and will receive arm strength evaluation by College Coaches, recording throwing speeds from either outfield or infield. Outfielders will get arm strength read from a radar gun making multiple throws from outfield to 3rd base, and infielders will get arm strength read from a radar gun making multiple throws from short stop to 1st base. Catchers will get multiple pop times on their throws to 2nd base.

*** Players will be timed running from home to 1st base, twice All times are recorded for the players information and for improvement purposes. This information will be sent with the evaluations in a couple of days following the showcase.

 

GAME RULES

All games will be controlled. Five batters to the plate per each half inning. If 3 outs are recorded, bases will be cleared.
In case of hit by pitch (HBP), same batter stays in box and starts a new at bat with a 1-1 count.

Lineups are posted to give each player equal amount of playing time. Elite Showcases staff will make lineups. It is the players responsibility to be on the field in their position during the correct inning.

Batting order is rolling. Game 2 will pick up where game 1 ends.

First team listed on schedule will be visitor.

Players will be placed in either primary or secondary position on the field, however there may be instances where they fill in an inning at a position not listed on their profile.

Coaches in attendance will act as umpire.

Each player must bring all gear.

Elite Showcases will provide a t-shirt colored by team and balls, however any undershirts, softball pants, belts, cleats, bats, mitts, helmets, etc. must be provided by the player. If you have any questions on whether or not certain equipment is permitted, please contact us.
